Eagles lose WR Danny Amendola to the Rams

It's a rather insignificant move but one that will upset many Eagles fans: according to Scout.com, the Rams have signed WR Danny Amendola off of the Eagles practice squad. Amendola had a great preseason with the Eagles, prompting some to think he deserved a spot on the final roster. With the depth the Eagles had at wideout, however, Amendola was never really a threat to make the team. The Birds stashed him away on the practice squad at the start of the season but it was only a matter of time before he was signed by another team.

The Rams will be getting an interesting prospect in Amendola and they may actually be able to use him. If there was ever a team in the NFL that was short on depth at wideout, it's the Rams. While many will be mad that the Eagles let a talented player go, Amendola was never going to get a shot with the Birds. Be happy for the guy because he might be able to make an impact with the Rams.
