Eagles restricted free agent cornerback Joselio Hansen signed his one-year tender today to remain with the Birds for another season. Hansen could have signed an offer sheet with another club, which could have been matched by the Eagles, but he chose to stay in Philly.
Hansen will have a big role with the team if the Eagles do decide to trade Lito Sheppard. Hansen would then figure to be the third cornerback after Asante Samuel and Shelden Brown. He was the nickel cornerback last season, posting a career high 45 tackles, and registered one sack.
