The Eagles training camp is under way, and already three rookies are dealing with injuries. Recently signed defensive tackle Trevor Laws, defensive end Bryan Smith and cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu were all placed on the physically unable to perform list. Laws is dealing with a minor foot injury that should only sideline him for a few days. Smith will also only miss a little bit of time with a hamstring injury. Ikegwuonu will likely miss the entire season as he recovers from a knee injury.
All three players were placed on the PUP list but that doesn't necessarily mean they will miss any regular season games. As long as the players are removed from the list before the start of the regular season, they can suit up starting in Week One. If they stay on the list until the first game, then they must sit out at least six games. I expect Laws and Smith to be taken off before the season starts so there is no reason to worry.
