ESPN Summer NHL Power Rankings: Flyers ranked third in the East

ESPN.com released some incredibly early NHL Power Rankings and have the Flyers ranked third in the Eastern Conference, behind the Penguins and Canadiens. I can see why the defending Eastern Conference Champion Penguins are ranked higher than the Flyers, but what have the Canadiens done to prove they are better than Philly? Acquiring Alex Tanguay is enough to vault them past the team that worked them in the playoffs? Isn't Carey Price still their goalie? Anyway, at least the Flyers are getting some respect, although the rankings are done by Scott Burnside, whose predictions during last years NHL Playoffs were laughable.

Are you kidding me? The Flyers got out played in every game against the Canadiens. Sure they won the series but over 82 games the Habs are the better team by far. The Habs are a lock for the playoffs again and Flyer fans better hope that we dont meet up again.

All that matters is who can win 4 games in a series, not who is better over an 82 game season. As long as Carey Price is in goal, the Flyers will beat the Habs every time.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Mathieu Biron is so good that he was #2 with the buffalo Sabers and spent most of the years #2 behind nitiimaki (or something like that)You know what, it is just luck what happens last years... ass kicking was the name of the lesson the habs were teaching to your team
