The Flyers playoff opponent will be determined today, and it looks like the Penguins don't want to face Philly in the first round. Sidney Crosby will not be sitting out of today's match-up. Crosby has been injured, but he has played through it in the last four games. Chat about the Flyers season finale in the comments section if you want!
Remember:
- Flyers win, they play Washington
- Flyers lose, they play Pittsburgh
Flyers announced their team awards today:
ReplyDeleteMVP: Mike Richards
Top D-man: Kimmo Timonen
Most Improved: Tie between Coburn and Cote
No complaints there, although Coburn should have won most improved outright
The decision to sit Crosby is a "Coaches Decision". I think it's a case of the "Philly Flu"
ReplyDeleteHow long until Cote and Laraque drop 'em?
ReplyDeleteBoth teams get early power plays, both teams come up short
ReplyDeleteHow is that goalie interference? First bad call of the night.
ReplyDeleteScoreless after one
ReplyDeleteThe penalties just keep on coming. The Flyers are going to need to be more disciplined in the playoffs
ReplyDeleteFlyers definitely seem flat tonight. What happened to all that intensity they had against the Devils?
ReplyDeleteBig time stop by Fleury on the short-handed shot by Carter
ReplyDeleteI think even Pittsburgh fans would admit that the Flyers are getting jobbed by the refs today. Every time there is a scrum, a Flyer goes to the box alone.
ReplyDeleteFinally, someone scores!
ReplyDeleteUpshall scores the goal, his 14th of the season
Carter made the play on the faceoff that led to the goal
ReplyDeleteUpshall has really responded to being a healthy scratch. He has scored two goals in the last two games.
ReplyDeleteFinally a penalty on the Penguins! Flyers, who are already ahead 1-0, will start the 3rd on a powerplay
ReplyDeleteFlyers win!
ReplyDeleteThey'll face Washington in the first round...
